Grant, an alternate captain last season, will be the captain of the team, with Amanda Butterfield, Maggie McLaughlin and Kayla Vespa set to serve as alternate captains.
“It is a perfect mix of leaders for our team next season,” said St. Lawrence head coach Chris Wells. “Kalie has the experience of being an alternate this past year to rely on this upcoming season as our captain.”
Grant, a Potsdam native, had a career year as a junior with personal highs in all three scoring categories. She eclipsed the total production of her first two seasons with seven goals and 13 assists for 20 points, scoring two goals in wins over Union Nov. 3 and Yale Jan. 19. She scored power play goals in back-to-back games against Union Yale in November, and added a shorthanded tally against Yale on Jan. 19. She has 11 goals and 28 assists for 39 points in 102 career games.
The 5-4 forward was the captain of the hockey, soccer and lacrosse teams at Potsdam High.
The Saints earned the No. 5 seed in this season’s ECAC hockey tournament, but fell to No. 4 Princeton in two games to finish the season with a 14-15-7 record.
