POTSDAM -- Jerry Thomas of Potsdam has been honored by his employer, UPS, for 25 years without an accident on the job.

Thomas, who works at the Potsdam UPS depot on Hatch Road, joins the company’s “Circle of Honor.

He, along with 67 other elite drivers from New York ,are among 1,436 drivers newly inducted into the company's elite organization.

“My thanks go to all of them for their dedication and focus and for the countless lives they’ve saved,” said Scott Bremerman, president, UPS East Region. “Their attention to detail has kept them safe and has helped improve public safety.”

Globally, 10,364 active UPS drivers are members of the Circle of Honor. Collectively they've racked up 298,957 years and 14 billion safe miles during their careers. That's enough to circle the earth at the equator over half a million times.
