POTSDAM -- Potsdam Public Library board and staff held an Open House for its 54 volunteers recently during National Library Week.

Evelyn Duncan was honored for her over 35 years of service to the library as a boardmember and volunteer.

Potsdam Public Library was the highest circulating library in the North Country Library's 65 libraries for 2011 with a circulation of 139,000.

"Our small staff could never have accomplished all that we have without our volunteers and work study students. It takes 63 people to operate this library," said Musante.
