POTSDAM -- Brianna Buffham and Ethan Gibbons were honored with framed awards from the Ladies Amvets Auxiliary Department of New York recently at the Potsdam Amvets Post 282.
These young people thought they were just attending a chicken barbecue at the post and were surprised with their awards given in honor of the Sons of Amvets and Ladies Auxiliary.
For weeks, Ethan and Brianna helped plan the Freedom and Family Festival held in mid-September. They were on hand to set up, help run the games, and break down and clean up.
And in early mornings from October to April, Ethan was on hand to help the Amvets’ Community Breakfasts at the post on Route 11 near Hospice
