Ogdensburg, Madrid-Waddington, Morristown students earn diplomas

Graduations took place at Ogdensburg, Madrid-Waddington and Morristown schools on Saturday.

Students across the North Country earned their diplomas Saturday at ceremonies held in local school districts. Below is a breakdown of some ceremonies held on Friday with class leaders and a list of graduates.

Ogdensburg City School Seniors walked the stage Saturday in Edgar A. Newell II Memorial Golden Dome.

This year’s valedictorian is Megan Reed and the salutatorian is Katherine Smith.

Speakers were valedictorian Megan Reed, salutatorian Katherine Smith, class president Holden Woods, and class vice president Cooper Garvey.

This year’s seniors included Aiden Amo, Colin Ballard, Derek Barr, Julie Bateman, Jhenna Baxter, Franklin Beach, Brayden Bell, Aliya Best, Elyssa Bice, Michael Bice, Ramie Blackmer, Madison Bleau, Sophia Bobb, Caleb Breen, Maxwell Cameron, Rheana Cameron and Skylar Carlin.

Also graduating were Emma Champman, Kiara Chase, Colin Clary, Kiera Conger, Alexianna Cooke, Drew Costello, Mician Cross, Brendon Dashnaw, Haley Dawley, Violeta DeGroat, David Denner, Kiera Duprey, Tristen Durand, Aaron Ellis, Julie Erwin, Gracelind Ferris, Brinley Frederick, Jessica French and Bailey Friot.

Additional graduates include Hannah Gardner, Cooper Garvey, Breanna Gladle-Besaw, Matthew Goolden, Sonja Green, Manveer Grewal, Austin Hall, Jadein Hance, Grace Hilborne, John Hooper, Jason Hynes-Gagnon, Caidence Jackson, Kamdyn Johnson, Caitlyn Kelly, Gannon Kelly, Joslyn Kench, Blake Kinch, and Natalie Kroeger.

More 2022 seniors were Trey LaBella, Aiden LaFlair, Brandon LaFlair, Kiersen LaFlair, Emma Lalone, Austin Latimer, Elizabeth Lemke, Olivia Liebstein, Eden Lockwood, Aubrey Love, Trent Lovely, Rylee McCallus, Erin McCarthy, Nicholas McRoberts, Kadence Mills, Nathaniel Mills, Lily Monroe, Mallory Morley and Abraham Morrow.

Other graduates were Emma Murphy, Cadence Payne, Rose Pharoah, Drew Piercey, Piage Pinkerton, Hannah Powers, Eugene Prashaw III, Faith Pratt, Hope Pratt, Natasha Pray, Caleb Preston, Samuel Price, Reed Putnam, Bryce Redmond, Megan Reed, Issac Rodgers, Joie Sharpe, Grace Shea and Taryn Sholette.

Also receiving diplomas are Kelsey Sias, Katherine Smith, Kaleb Spears, Owen Thompson, Collin Towne, Tess Tracy, Haiden Vinch, Ryan Warchol, Tiffany Webb, Gavin Webster, Kassidie Wells, Hannah Wood, and Holden Woods.

Madrid-Waddington Central

Madrid-Waddington Central held its 2022 graduation ceremony June 25 at Rishe Baseball Field.

Graduation speakers included Laney Tiernan, Angelie Bush, Caleb Froats and Drew Harmer.

This year’s honor students included: Cum Laude (90 or better) - Kaylee Amo, Connor Arquiett, Colby Beldock, Drew Harmer, Avery Hill, Zachary Jock, Cole Odendahl, Lain Pinello, Madison White and Adriauna Willard. Magna Cum Laude (93 or better) - Tanor Harvey. Summa Cum Laude (95 or better) - Lindsey Burns, Angelie Bush, Caleb Froats, Caitlyn Harris, Lily LaMere, Luke LePage and Laney Tiernan.

The graduating class includes Kaylee Amor, Connor Arquiett, Hailey Ashley, Annie Basford, Colby Beldock, Koby Bjork, Clare Burhans, Megan Burwel, Angelie Bush, Donald Cordova, Aidan Demers, Jason Dow Jr. and Madison Elliot-Whalen.

More 2022 seniors were Natalie Fieldson, Aynsely French, Caleb Froats, Drew Harmer, Caitlyn Harris, Tanor Harvey, Avery Hill, Graham Hill, Hunter Hodgdon, Zachary Jock, Lily LaMere, Luke LePage, Abigail Maughan, Vanessa Mayette and Alyson Mayette-Oshier.

Also receiving their diplomas were Gage Moquin, Jacob Morgan, Raven Murphy, Cole Odendahl, Alexavier Perez, Lain Pinello, Kylie Planty, Shaylyn Reed, Sydney Rivera, Matthew Robinson, Eric Rowe, Emily Rubas, Devin Shallow, Katrina Sheffield, Laney Tiernan, Madison White, Adriauna Willard Autumn Wilson.

Morristown Central

Morristown Central graduation was held June 25 in the gymnasium.

This year MCS announced Iris Bailey as their 2021 valedictorian and Nathan Forrest as their salutatorian.

This year’s graduating class included Iris Bailey, Riley Bass, Austin Burnett, Addison Colby, Kaley Dulmage, Cali Elliot, Jack Evans, Trenten Evans, Collin Forrest, Nathan Forrest, Madysan Gagnon, Brandon Gilbo and Ethan Graveline.

Also graduating were Lelani Hicks, John Hooper, Mia Johnson, Lacy Kuca, Katelyn Ladlee, Emilie O’Donnell, Kylie O’Donnell, Cordelia Pickman, Carly Piercey, William Price, Abbie Rybka, Emma Showers, Tristin Simmons, Nicholas Webb, Aaron Woodcock and Molly Wright.
