The Northern Area Health Education Center, Inc. (NAHEC) recently recognized four local women for their hard work and dedication to excellence in pursuing health care careers.
Honorees were Emilie Wilcox of Malone a Certified Nurse Aide student; Marci Wood of Chateaugay who is on track to enter Albany College of Pharmacy and is this year’s recipient of the Bruce C. Potter Memorial Scholarship Award; Kirstin Hurlbut of Ogdensburg, a Registered Nurse at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center who is also studying to become a Nurse Practitioner; and Kim McFaddin of Colton, Administrator of the Maplewood Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Canton.
Each honoree received assistance from NAHEC in pursuing their chosen profession. Collectively they represent the breadth and depth of NAHEC programming available for individuals pursuing health care careers.
