NORFOLK -- The Hepburn Library of Norfolk announces the retirement of Director Victoria (Vicky) Brothers and the appointment of Laurel Murphy.
Brothers has been with the library for 30 years and instrumental in the success and smooth running of the library and exciting programs.
She has overseen the introduction of the ILS Mandarin and installation of WIFI, the installation of fiber, many building improvements including the solar panels, air conditioning and more.
She will be missed by her staff and community. The Board of Trustees, staff and incoming Director Laurel Murphy wish her a retirement full of well-deserved relaxation and rest and look forward to her visiting the library as a patron.
According to the board statement, anyone wishing to visit and say "good-bye" should do so by Aug. 31, and adhere to all the NYC mandates that are currently in place.
