NNY Community Foundation awards scholarships to St. Lawrence County students

The Northern New York Community Foundation, in partnership with private donors, 33 public school districts and two private schools, has awarded scholarships to 485 students from Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties that will help them pursue post-secondary educational goals.

Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of donors who continue to make gifts that support Community Foundation scholarships, opportunities for students this year have grown through the establishment of new awards and partnerships. Awards to 485 students in the three counties total more than $1 million.

The St. Lawrence County scholarship recipients include:

Canton Central School: Emily Jo Ames, Katie Bennett, Olivia M. Logan, Mindylee Mae Murdie, Daniel Onyper, Amelia Rodee, Sarah Elizabeth Rodee, Jade Marie Stevenson, Riley Dawn Taylor, and Quinn Alexis O.K. Woodward.

Clifton-Fine Central School: Karina Sien Benzel and Jodie Soltau.

Colton-Pierrepont Central School: Maura Shannon Richards, Noah Woods Rousell, Michael Schwartfigure, and Amanda Woods.

Edwards-Knox Central School: Andrew James Franklin, Alexander Patrick Truesdell, Tyler Matthew Scott, and Haven Gotham

Gouverneur Central School: Brynn Farley, Kaitlyn Allison Gibson, Kiarra June Jenkins, Hailey Morrissiey, Peyton Rose Mussaw, and Christopher Weaver.

Hammond Central School: Hannah Belknap and Kennon Gardner.

Hermon-DeKalb Central School: Keaton Brabaw.

Heuvelton Central School: Deanna Bellinger and Hunter David Venette.
