GOUVERNEUR – St. Lawrence Health System congratulates Gouverneur Hospital’s Employee of the Quarter, Occupational Therapist Megan Morrow.

Morrow joined Gouverneur Hospital in December, 2018, and is described as a great addition to the hospital’s team. Her colleagues noted she does a phenomenal job with her patients, boosting their spirits at the same time she is working with them.

“Since coming to GH, Megan has helped build our Occupational Therapy services in the inpatient setting,” said Director of Rehabilitation Eric Medved, PT. “She leads by example by demonstrating a positive, proactive approach to providing care that has been beneficial to both patients and staff to help our patients achieve the best outcome.

“Her oversight of our Activities Program has benefited patients by assisting them to associate their outside interests to their recovery by developing ‘real life’ goals that are tangible, and prepare our patients to return home,” Medved said.

As part of the hospital’s Planetree initiative, its Staff Experience Team established an Employee of the Quarter program in 2019 to recognize employees who exemplify person-centered care. Employees are nominated by patients and colleagues for their commitment to providing exceptional service to patients and their families.

As Employee of the Quarter, Morrow received a plant, gift card, gift basket, and a gift certificate donated by the Gouverneur Hospital Auxiliary.
