MORRISTOWN – The Morristown Central School Trap Shooting team finished first in their conference and are headed to the High School Clay Target League State Tournament in Bridgeport on June 30.
The team took first place Conference 9, which comprises eight schools of comparable size.
The school team began competing in the conference in the spring of 2017 and has been in spring and fall events since then.
The Morristown team members are Addison Colby, Ashton Colby, Austin Colby, Trenten Evans, Emily Gagnon, Josh Hunter, Garrett Langtry, Ethyn Moquin, Gavin Moquin, Emilie O'Donnell, Kylie O'Donnell, Macaulay Ritchie, Tanner Ritchie, Emma Showers, Rylie Showers, Grace Smith, Parker Stout, Kassidy Sullivan, Wyatt Sullivan, Hailey Ward and Jarred Young.
Head Coach David Young is aided by Lawrence Kring, Larry Kring, Ralph Goodwin, Paul Montpetit, Jim Robinson, Allen Langtry, and Glen Colby in leading the trap team. Penny Young is team manager.
