St. Lawrence NYSARC (www.slnysarc.org), the non-profit organization dedicated to people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities announced that Doug McIntosh was selected as a Joslin Outstanding Performer for work on NYSID (New York State Industries for the Disabled, Inc.) Preferred Source contracts.
McIntosh is one of 50 New Yorkers with disabilities being acknowledged for consistent, impressive performance through St. Lawrence NYSARC's Seaway Industries program.
This recognition is also being given in honor of National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month.
McIntosh has been employed by St. Lawrence NYSARC for over 17 years.
He performs work on six separate NYSID contracts including custodial contracts at Ogdensburg Mental Health, the Unified Court System, Adirondack Park Agency, NYS Insurance, and document preparation work for St. Lawrence County.
"Doug has certainly proven the skills of multi-tasking, adaptability and flexibility," said John Morrison, Director of St. Lawrence NYSARC's Seaway Industries. "He is a wonderful example of the critical role people with developmental disabilities play in shaping the identity of our communities through a consistent, quality work ethic."
