MASSENA -- Bishop Mark Webb of the Upper New York Annual Conference intends to appoint Pastor Cori Louden to serve as Pastor of the Massena First United Methodist Church, effective July 1, 2021.
Pastor Cori is currently serving the Warsaw Cluster United Methodist Churches and has been  preparing to serve the Massena community with her husband Chris Louden.
Rev. Linda Foody will continue to serve as our Interim Pastor until June 30.
Pastor Cori Louden is a Rochester native. She grew up attending Aldersgate United Methodist Church located in Greece, NY.

When she was 13 she attended Camp Asbury and there is where she felt the call of God and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.
From there Pastor Cori became very active at Aldersgate throughout her life as she served on committees and was the lay member to the annual conference for a few sessions.  At this point Cori was working odd jobs as she tried to find her true calling.
While Pastor Cori was working as a Home Health Aid she met her husband Chris.
Chris was born in a military family and so they moved all over the United States.  Chris’ parents would end up in a divorce and through another marriage Chris found himself in Brockport. That is where he and Cori met and they married in 2007.
Chris knew that Cori was called to be a pastor and so, through their marriage, he supported her and they worked together. When they first got married, Cori attended Roberts Wesleyan College for her Bachelor’s degree in Religion and Philosophy. She graduated in 2010.
Pastor Cori would then go to Northeastern Seminary to get her Master’s of Theology, which is a two-year degree.  Cori would then work more odd jobs as God prepared her for pastoral ministry.
In 2017 both Cori and Chris felt they were ready for her to answer the call. It was then that Cori was approved for her local license and appointed to what is known as the Warsaw Cluster in Warsaw, NY.  This cluster consists of Warsaw First UMC, Immanuel UMC and Silver Springs UMC and this is where she still serves at this point. Pastor Cori also went back to seminary and received her Master’s of Divinity in 2019.
