CANTON -- The Board of Directors of GardenShare has announced that Céline Carrière has been hired as a management consultant to guide the organization as it moves forward to meet and address the challenges of COVID-19 and beyond.

A management executive with more than 12 years of operational and leadership experience in the nonprofit field, Carrière has roots in agriculture, having grown up in rural Ontario, Canada, the granddaughter of dairy farmers.

With a career focused on supporting community-based nonprofit organizations like GardenShare, Carrière has had success developing and delivering value-added programs, securing grants, achieving fundraising targets, and advocating for government funding and regulations.

As management consultant, she will work with GardenShare to develop a long-range strategic plan, examine and strengthen the organization’s structure, governance, and policies, and bolster administrative functions to ensure continued effective food security programming.

“I am so very pleased to be joining a strong organization that makes a significant impact in the communities it serves,” says Carrière, who began her work with GardenShare on Aug. 31. “Food brings us together. A vibrant food system and food security are crucial for us all. I look forward to contributing to GardenShare's success and to supporting the success of our food system.”

Though it may be challenging given COVID restrictions, GardenShare looks forward to introducing Carrière to supporters and partners, said a press release from the organization. To reach her with questions, suggestions, or just a warm welcome, email celine@gardenshare.org or call 315-261-8054.
