CANTON: Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma presents a check of $1,000 to St. Lawrence County Community Development Program.
DKG is a society of women educators who promote professional and personal growth and excellence in education. They provide scholarships for local young women pursuing a career in the educational field and present gifts to local birthing classes that stress the importance of reading to children at all ages.
Lambda’s donation to CDP is earmarked for the greatest needs. With their educational background it will be used for the Head Start Program. This donation will help CDP provide fun, educational opportunities for the 351 children ages 3 to 5 years that are served through the Head Start Program.
Pictured below (from left) is Barbara Adams, CDP’s Head Start director, Kathryn Londraville, treasurer of Lambda, and Felicia Dumas, CDP’s executive director.
