Class of 2022 seniors recognized at Madrid-Waddington Central School

Madrid-Waddington Central School honored the following members of the 2022 graduating class.

She is the daughter of Jen and Tim Amo. Kaylee will attend SUNY Plattsburgh in the fall and will major in Adolescent Education with a concentration in English. Kaylee has been awarded a $6,000.00 North Country Grant. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Environmental Club, Chorus, Stardust, is President of Speech and Debate and Treasurer of Yearbook. In her free time, Kaylee works a part time job and has earned an Advanced Regents Diploma.

Connor Arquiett: CUM LAUDE

Connor Arquiett is the son of Allison Sayer and Rob Arquiett. Connor will attend SUNY Erie Community College in Buffalo and will major in Building Trades/ Residential Light Commercial and Business Management. Connor has maintained High Honor Roll throughout high school and is a member of the Varsity Club. He is a member of the Varsity Soccer team, has played Basketball and Baseball in the past and works full time during the summer months as an HVAC apprentice. Recently Connor earned his EPA certification and OSHA- 10 through the HVAC Program. Connor will receive an Advanced Regents Diploma with a Technical Endorsement.

Colby Beldock: CUM LAUDE

He is the son of Lisa Beldock and Christopher Beldock. Colby will attend Clarkson University in the fall and will major in Civil Engineering and has joined the Air Force ROTC. Colby has been awarded the Clarkson Engineering Scholarship, is a two-time recipient of the Section 10 Sportsmanship Award, Athlete of Distinction and Second Team All Northern. While in high school, Colby participated in National Jr. Honor Society and National Honor Society. He has played soccer, basketball and baseball. Colby has earned an Advanced Regents Diploma.

Drew Harmer: CUM LAUDE

He is the son of Bryan and Margie Harmer. Drew plans on attending SUNY Canton in the fall for Electrical Engineering Technology. He is a member of the National Honor Society and participated in basketball, soccer and golf. Throughout his career Drew has received the East Division Defensive MVP in soccer, First Team All Northern in basketball, along with 8th team All State. He was also second team All Northern in Golf. Drew is an Athlete of Distinction and was recognized as the WWNY TV Channel 7 Athlete of the Week. He attends the Building Trades program at Northwest Technical Center and is on track to graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma.

Avery Hill: CUM LAUDE

He is the son of Anthony and Janet Hill. Avery plans on attending Lincoln Technical Institute in East Windsor, Connecticut. He will be studying HVAC/ Refrigeration. He has been awarded the Lincoln Tech Scholarship and the Imagine America Scholarship. While attending Madrid- Waddington, Avery has participated in various clubs and organizations and is a High Honors Student. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Tri- M Music Honor Society, Stardust, Chorus and Select Choir. Avery participated in Band and has been in numerous school musicals. He has attended the NYSSMA Music Festival, Area All- County and Area All- State Choirs. Avery is a member of the Varsity Track and Field team and is a senior student in the HVAC program at the Northwest Technical Center. He has obtained his Universal EPA certification and is an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hunting and fishing in his free time. Avery is an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Parish in Waddington and has been an Alter Server since the age of 10. Avery is employed as a Coles Creek State Park summer employee and will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma.

Zachary Jock: CUM LAUDE

He is the son of Heather and Chris Jock. Zach plans on attending the University at Buffalo and majoring in Electrical Engineering. While in high school, Zach has been a member of Drama Club and Yearbook. He has played basketball and participated in Track and Field. Zach is a Supervisor of the Fitness Center and works a part time job. Zach will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma.

Cole Odendahl: CUM LAUDE

He is the son of Alvin and Jamie Odendahl. He plans on attending Berklee College of Music in the Music Business program. Cole has been an active member of chorus, stardust, select choir, band, stage band and the Tri-M music honor society. Cole is the Tri M Music honor society and Stardust president. Cole recently served as a lead in this year’s musical and is a member of his own band named Another Roadside Attraction. Cole is a member of the National Honor Society and referees basketball. He has earned the Tri-M leadership award and has received the Berklee World Tour scholarship. Cole has earned an Advanced Regents Diploma.

Lain Pinello: CUM LAUDE

Lain is the daughter of Anna Knapp-Peck and Cody Peck. Lain will be entering the workforce upon graduation. Lain has secured part-time employment at Clarkson University in food service, works cleaning houses and has worked for people in caring for their animals. Lain enjoys writing in her free time. Lain has earned a Regents Diploma.

Madison White: CUM LAUDE

She is the daughter of Chad and Kelly White. She plans on attending SUNY Plattsburgh for the Childhood/Special Education program. She has been a member of National Honor Society, Varsity club, Key club, Drama club, Stardust and select choir. Madison is the secretary of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, the Captain of Varsity Cheerleading and the treasurer of National Honor Society and cheerleading. In addition to cheerleading, Madison is a member of track and has earned the Section X awards including Athlete of distinction and second team all NAC. Madison has been awarded the North Country Scholarship and the Academic Excellence Scholarship from SUNY Plattsburgh. Madison has earned an Advanced Regents Diploma.

Adriauna Willard: CUM LAUDE

Adriauna is the daughter of Cassandra Willard. She plans on attending Niagara University in the fall, majoring in Criminal Justice and Criminology. She participates in the yearbook club and Varsity Club and is a member of the National Honor Society. Adriauna attends the Northwest Technical Center for the Criminal Justice program and has consistently been on honor roll. In Adrianna's senior year she played softball and while on the cheerleading team, she received the Section X Outstanding Sportsmanship Award. Adriauna currently works at Waddington True Value and will continue working until she attends college. She has been awarded the Niagara University Dean's Scholarship and the Niagara University Monteagle grant. Adriauna has earned a Regents Diploma.

Tanor Harvey: MAGNA CUM LAUDE

Tanor is the son of Tammy and Norman Harvey. Tanor is planning on attending the Southeast Lineman Training Center for Electrical Lineworker in Trenton, Georgia. Tanor is a member of the National Honor Society, plays Varsity baseball and soccer and participates in Varsity Club, Drama Club, and is a High Honor Roll student. He also participated in the Spring Musical and took College classes. Tanor has earned an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors, Mastery in Math.

Lindsey Burns: SUMMA CUM LAUDE

Lindsey is the daughter of William and Kimber Burns. She will attend the University of Vermont in the fall and plans on majoring in Business. Lindsey has been awarded the University of Vermont Presidential Scholarship. She participates in Track and Field where she is a Captain, was awarded the First Team All- Northern for Track, is a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Club, History Club, Drama Club, is a High Honor Roll student and Vice President of the Senior Class. Lindsey has earned an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors, Mastery in Math and Science.

Angelie Bush: SUMMA CUM LAUDE

Angelie is the daughter of Brian and Tina Bush. Angelie will be attending Nazareth College in the fall, majoring in Occupational Science/ Therapy. She has been awarded the Dean Scholarship from Nazareth College. Angelie has participated in the following clubs: Drama Club, History Club and Yearbook Club. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Angelie has consistently been on High Honor Roll throughout high school. She has played basketball and soccer, performed in three school plays and works at the Ole Smokehouse in Madrid, NY. She received the NYSPHSAA Scholar/ Athlete Award. Angelie has earned an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors, Mastery in Math and Science.

Caleb Froats: SUMMA CUM LAUDE

Caleb is the son of Jason Froats and Katie Logan and the stepson of Sandra Froats and Jason Curran. Caleb will be attending The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam in the fall, majoring in Music Business. Caleb plans on pursuing a career as a Recording Artist and Music Industry Professional. He participates in Tri- M Music Honor Society, Select Choir, Stardust, and volunteers to help to teach middle school students chorus. Caleb is also a member of National Honor Society, Key Club, History Club, Outing Club and Varsity Club. He is Vice President of the Environmental Club, President of the Drama Club and serves as Student Liaison to the Board of Education. Caleb serves his community by singing the National Anthem at local sporting events and he umpires Little League Baseball in both Madrid and Waddington. He has worked as a shop helper for Northern Mechanicals, Inc. and plans to work as a lifeguard this summer. Caleb entertains the high school each morning by reading the morning announcements and always offering words of encouragement and announces the national day. Caleb has earned an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors, Mastery in Math and Science.

Caitlyn Harris: SUMMA CUM LAUDE

She is the daughter of James and Christina Harris. Caitlyn plans on attending SUNY Potsdam in the fall, majoring in Chemistry with plans to use this major to earn her Doctorate in Dentistry. She has been awarded the Dean’s Scholarship from SUNY Potsdam. While attending Madrid-Waddington she has been an athlete participating in soccer, spring track and indoor track. Caitlyn is a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Club and has been a Class Officer. On the weekends, Caitlyn spends her time bussing tables at the Lobster House in Norwood, NY. She has earned an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors, Mastery in Math.

Lily LaMere: SUMMA CUM LAUDE

Lily is the daughter of Larry LaMere and Christine LaMere. Lily will attend St. Lawrence University in the fall, majoring in Biology with plans to become a Dentist. Lily has been awarded the Augsbury Scholarship, Athlete of Distinction and Second Team All Northern for soccer and basketball. She is a High Honor Roll student, a National Honor Society member, participates in History Club, Outing Club and Drama Club. Lily was also awarded the Presidential Scholarship from Alfred University, the LeMoyne College Heights Award, 21st Century Leadership Award from Wells College and the University of Rochester Bausch and Lomb Award. Lily has earned the Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors, Mastery in Math and Science.

Luke LePage: SUMMA CUM LAUDE

He is the son of Trina LePage and David LePage. Luke will attend Clarkson University in the fall and plans on majoring in Civil Engineering. Luke has been awarded the Clarkson University Engineering Scholarship, the Clarkson Scholarship, Dean’s Scholarship and the Solinsky Scholarship. While in high school, Luke participated in Band, Area All-County, played Varsity soccer, basketball and baseball, where he earned First Team All-Northern and Academic All- Northern for all three sports. He is also a member of the National Honor Society. Luke has earned an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors, Mastery in Math and Science.

Laney Tiernan: SUMMA CUM LAUDE

Laney is the daughter of Jay and Kelley Tiernan. She plans on attending Clarkson University for Civil and Environmental Engineering. She has been a member of National Honor Society, Treasurer of the Class of 2020, Varsity Club, History Club, and Drama Club. Laney is a three-sport athlete for Madrid-Waddington participating in soccer, basketball and track and has earned Captain in both soccer and basketball. She has achieved Athlete of Distinction for both soccer and basketball. Laney was recently featured as the Channel 7 WWNY-TV Academic All Star. Laney has been awarded the Northern New York Community Foundations Evergreen STEM Scholarship as well as the Clarkson Scholarship, the Clarkson Leadership Award, the Solinsky Scholarship, the Alumni Legacy Scholarship and the Valedictorian Award. Laney has earned an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors, Mastery in Math and Science.
