POTSDAM – Clarkson University Senior Instructional Designer Loretta Driskel has been named editor of the MERLOT Teacher Education Editorial Board.
MERLOT partners with an international community of educators, learners and researchers to provide access to curated online learning, support materials and content creation tools. MERLOT is supported by the Online Learning Consortium and Quality Matters, each recognized institution in the online learning space.
Driskel has collaborated with MERLOT for 15 years and has been selected as editor for her expertise in the discipline, her excellence in teaching and her use of technology in her teaching. The appointment reflects the judgment of her peers as an exemplar in these areas.
In her new editorial role, Driskel will provide leadership of the editorial board, along with the development of the discipline’s community and collection.
With over 20 years of experience as a teacher and over 15 as an instructional designer for higher education, Loretta’s passion is creating engaging and diverse learning experiences for students and faculty.
At Clarkson, she partners with instructors to create high-quality designs of online learning experiences for a range of learner audiences, including pre-undergraduate, undergraduate, graduate, and professional.
