CANTON – Erin Anderson, representing Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country, has been chosen as one of the runner-ups by Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State (CP of NYS) in its Vision of New York 2011 Art Contest.

The contest was open to artists from CP of NYS Affiliates across the state.

Anderson’s piece, entitled “Winter Mountains”, will be featured on a limited edition poster containing all 18 pieces submitted by CP of NYS Affiliates.

Each CP of NYS Affiliate was asked to submit one piece of original art, created by a person with a disability supported by their agency, to be entered in the statewide judging.

Artwork submitted by the CP of NYS Affiliates will be included in a large full-color poster, which will be distributed to each of the 24 CP of NYS Affiliates.

The original pieces of art will be exhibited at the organization’s Annual Conference, Oct. 25 at the Hilton Hotel in Saratoga Springs.

The CP of NYS Annual Conference will attract more than 800 people from across the state for nearly 50 sessions and meetings on issues critical to people with disabilities and their families.
