SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield College Athletic Training Program class of 2011 has made perfection a habit, with all 12 graduates passing the national certifying examination and successfully finding post-graduate work.
The interactive exam uses a variety of question types to test how prospective athletic trainers use knowledge from the classroom, internships, fieldwork and supervised treatment experiences.
In addition to passing the examination and becoming certified athletic trainers, all 12 students found jobs, internships or graduate assistantships for the fall.
Bridget Spooner, of Canton was the Massachusetts state representative to the Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association (EATA) student delegation, and was named the leader of that group.
The Springfield College Athletic Training Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education.
Students learn from BOC-certified and Massachusetts licensed athletic trainers, learning theoretical and clinical competencies and problem-solving skills in the classroom and in clinical settings.
