The pool was set up in an Olympic sized 50-meter configuration. Sonja's first event was the 200 meter Freestyle Relay on Wednesday where she competed with other members of the Adirondack Team to post a time of 2:03.93, which earned them 15th place. On Friday, Sonja competed in the 100 meter Backstroke and placed 28th overall with a time of 1:22.01.
Sonja will next return to the pool where she will swim for her school St. Lawrence Central.
Eastern Zone Long Course Age Group Championships brought together 11 Local Swimming Committees from the Eastern seaboard ranging from Maine to Virginia. Northern TRIBS Swimming is a year round competitive swim program based out of Northern New York.
