Above, Lamar Bliss with thirty some students from the Building BLocks Day Care Center in Potsdam who visited the Potsdam Museum on Friday for a tour of the spinning and weaving exhibit. Here they learned the process of making yarn from wool to knit a hat or sweater. Lamar Bliss, who raises sheep and spins, brought wool and demonstrated on her spinning wheel. The children had an opportunity to card raw wool and spin up some two-ply yarn. The spinning and weaving exhibit is open for tours all fall.
