Two charged following alleged Potsdam stabbing

A drug deal gone bad Thursday led to one person being stabbed and two others being jailed, according to Potsdam police. Police responded to a 911 call from a person reporting an armed robbery at a Collegiate Village apartments on Main Street. A handgun displayed during the robbery was later found to be an Airsoft-like pistol which was recovered at the scene. The caller described the suspects, who were apprehended by police shortly thereafter while they were fleeing the scene in a vehicle, officers said. Police found approximately six ounces of marijuana in the vehicle which was occupied by Devon Trent, 22, Bayport, (Left) and Lauren N. Gerry, 19, Manorville. See story here.
