Track dedication in Potsdam
Tuesday, November 7, 2017 - 5:30 pm

A sign has gone up at Potsdam Central High School’s running track in dedication to Coach Bill Lewis. He led the team from 1963 to 1974, compiling a legendary record of 107 wins versus three losses and nine consecutive Section X titles. He retired from the district as a middle school guidance counselor in 1994. Lewis, second from left, is with several people who led the effort to name the track in his honor. From left, Bill Putnam, Lewis, Mike Perry, Bill Mitchell, Larry Casey and Bill Hayman.
