Students from Potsdam’s Lawrence Avenue Elementary School recently toured the Ice Cold Potsdam exhibition at the Potsdam Public Museum. Pictured here is Mrs. Caruso and her fourth grade class, museum staff, and volunteers. The Ice Cold Potsdam exhibition includes local photographs of ice cutting on the Racquette River by Ives Park in Potsdam, ice cutting tools and equipment on loan from the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, an ice box circa 1910, a collection of antique ice skates, hockey memorabilia from Clarkson University and local personal collections, Ice Carnival pictures from Clarkson University archives, and information on infamous ice storms including the Ice Storm of ’98.
