Remembering victims in Buffalo
Wednesday, May 25, 2022 - 1:23 pm

A group including members of Black Lives Matter North Country, the Poor People's Campaign, and local residents gathered May 21 to remember the victims of the race-driven attack in Buffalo. Demonstrating in Potsdam, at the corner of Pierrepont Avenue and Main Street, with signs that read the names of each person killed and slogans, such as ‘why is ending racism even a debate?,’ the group was met both with supporting honks from passing traffic, as well as detractors yelling: ‘white lives matter.’ Pictured above are Andrew Brink of Potsdam, right, Marianne Hebert of Potsdam, left, and Raamitha Pershad, background, of Canton.
