Members of the 11th NY Battery of Light Artillery unit Civil War re-enactors will be on hand at Recruitment Day Saturday, May 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association at the Silas Wright House, 3 East Main St., Canton. This Civil War program is part of the SLCHA's Commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, which began in 1861. There will be demonstrations, a tent village, and people are welcome to consider signing up as a re-enactor for the many upcoming events.
