Girl Scout troops from Racquette Valley Neighborhood (consisting of girls from Madrid-Waddington, Colton-Pierrepont, Norwood-Norfolk, Parishville-Hopkinton, and Potsdam school districts) again this year took on the service project of making fleece pillows to be donated to the emergency room at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Seventeen troops, consisting of 150 girls, contributed toward making this service project possible. Just over 100 pillows were donated, including several that were sewn as patchwork quilt dogs, made from the fabric ends left over from what was needed for the square pillows. Staff members of the Emergency Department were on hand to thank the Girl Scouts and accept the pillows.
