New student housing in Potsdam

Dozens of cottage-style buildings for the college housing market will begin going up in the spring along Main Street behind the SUNY Potsdam campus. Buffalo developer Chason Affinity has purchased about 100 acres across Main Street from the college’s running track and will use 20 acres to build about 50 small buildings designed to house between four and six students each, with total capacity to be not more than 300 beds.
