NCNow Survey: Majority agree vaccinating all children for schools

Dozens of students at local schools who were granted a religious exemption from immunizations will need to receive immunizations or be home schooled. As of June 13, there is no longer a religious exemption to the requirement that children be vaccinated against measles and other diseases to attend public, private or parochial school or child day care settings. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo signed the legislation last month. The majority, 85%, said they support ending religious exemptions for vaccinations in order to attend school.
