Nellie Clohosey Murphy (1884 - 1956) and William J. Murphy (1878 - 1954) take a 1910 family photo outside their Canton-Potsdam Road farm, still standing half-way between the two towns. Posing with them are the first three of 12 children the couple would have: Paul Francis Murphy (1906 - 1976), Irene Patricia Murphy (who later married James O'Brien in Crary Mills) (1908 - 1973) and Clarence Leo Murphy (1910 - 1930).
