Free clothing to anyone in need is available this afternoon until 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon-3:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Potsdam, 42 Elm St. The clothing drive was organized to help the 49 residents displaced by the Lawrence Avenue Apartment fire last Saturday but due to the tremendous response by the community, organizers are opening it up to anyone who needs clothing. They are still accepting food and gift cards to distribute to fire victims. Fom left, organizers Alicia Newcombe, Terry de la Vega, Renee and Isaiah Stauffer take a break in front of the piles of donated clothing. NCNow photo by Cheryl Shumway.
