Best Friends Thrift Shop, 8 Raymond St., Potsdam, opened its doors in early December, and has already been able to give the Potsdam Humane Society a check for over $1,600. “Response has been unbelievable,” says owner Cathy Connolly. While Connolly's company owns the thrift shop, she reminds everyone that all donations are accepted on behalf of the Potsdam Humane Society and that 100 percent of the net profits from the store go directly to offsetting the daily care needs of shelter animals.
