


Potsdam men win first place in Ogdensburg

The Northern New York Bassmasters held their 6th tournament of the regular season Saturday on the St. Lawrence River in Ogdensburg. Four teams broke the 20 pound barrier to rise to the top of the 56 angler field. The river smallmouth were biting well as every team that weighed in brought at least one 4-pounder to the scales. First place went to Chris Flint & John Flint of Potsdam with 21.98 lbs. Second place winners were Chris Backus & Paul Streeter, Cranberry Lake, with 21.71 lbs including lunker 5.96 lb smallmouth. Brad Paradis & Robert Paradis of Ogdensburg finished in third place with 20.90 lbs. Tyler Capella & Carrie Capella of Canton reeled in 20.05 lbs for a fourth place finish.
