Thirteen students in grades 8-12 from across the county participated in the Feb. 21 MASH Camp at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center. Students learned about healthcare careers through tours and hands-on activities in a variety of hospital departments. The camp offered a range healthcare experiences, from operating a TENS muscle-stimulation unit with Cinci Weaver, manager of the PT/OT departments, to practicing CPR on adult and infant manikins under the guidance of Megan Murray, student placement coordinator. The event was coordinated by Claxton-Hepburn and Northern Area Health Education Center Inc. Ariana Sola gets some hands on experience at the event.
