Claxton employees attend conference

Recently, two of Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center's employees, Lettie Deloney, nurse manager of obstetrics, and Jennifer Shaver, nurse manager of the intensive care unit, were guests of the March of Dimes 33rd Annual Perinatal Nurse Conference at the New York Academy of Medicine, New York City. Claxton-Hepburn was recognized as only one of two New York state hospitals participating in a national project aimed at eliminating medically unnecessary deliveries prior to 39 weeks, the age at which babies of healthy pregnancies are considered "at term."
