Sprucing up for school photo in Norwood
Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 8:20 am
Norwood-Norfolk Central School second grader Cayden Stevens closes his eyes as he has his hair trimmed. The Elementary School offered haircuts to the students again this year prior to school pictures being taken. This is the third year Mrs. Amy LaRoe, a local hairdresser, has volunteered her services. Twenty-one children received a haircut. Susan Barrett, NNCS' Family Liaison set up the program and scheduled the children to come into the Family Room. The haircuts ranged from a 1/2 trim to a 10-inch cut. A letter was sent home or a phone call was made asking permission to all families the week before. This is a service that school officials hope to continue in the future and one that the families appreciate.
