Raquette flooding in Norwood

The Raquette River in Norwood is creeping up the banks, as seen in this view from the Spring Street bridge of a spit of land now covered with water. Brookfield Power, which operates hydroelectric plants and dams along the river, began releasing water at twice the average rate for this time of year because they feared they might otherwise lose control of the river flow.
