Each year students at the local middle school compete with other students of a similar age, from around the world, creating posters that express their feeling for peace throughout the world. A local winner advances to a higher level for further competition. Shown in the photo (from left to right) are NNCS middle school art teacher Mr. Jason Hubbard, 3rd place winner Kylee Lashomb, 1st place winner Alyssa Senecal, 2nd place winner Abby Tessier, and Norfolk Lion Royal Sheldon. Each student is holding the poster they created. Mr Hubbard supervised the poster creations at NNCS. Lion Sheldon served as chairman of the event for the Norfolk Lions Club. Alyssa Senecal's poster advanced for further judging on a larger northern New York level. Unfortunately she did not place in district judging. The three winners at NNCS were presented prizes for their achievement.
