"Here is the last Perigee-Syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system for 2014," said photographer Don Straight of Brasher Falls. "The moon was full last night at 9:38 p.m., and was so bright that I deliberately reduced exposure so that additional detail could be seen. Full moon pictures tend to look flat, since there is almost no shadowing to indicate depth in the image." A video of the moon rise can be seen here.
