Work on Wanakena bridge
Friday, September 17, 2010 - 4:48 pm

Twenty students from the ESF Ranger School Class of 2011 recently spent the day repainting the historic Wanakena footbridge as a community service class project. Ranger School faculty and staff assisted, and Wanakena residents Rick and Angie Kovacs and Dave Ziemba provided music, brownies and support. The ESF Cranberry Lake Biological Station provided a barge for accessing the bottom of the bridge, and various members of the Wanakena community stopped by to offer thanks and support during the day.
