The 20th Annual Old Fashioned Harvest Days presented by Madrid’s St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum held Labor Day weekend had returning displays while adding several new ones including the new Shoe Repair and Leather Shop open to the public for the very first time. Construction of the 16 x 20 foot facility began this past spring and was completed just in time for the Fall Exhibition. Vintage shoe and leather machines and materials fill its interior. Most of the supplies and equipment were formerly part of the collection of the Heritage Grist Mill in Morley and had been donated by the family of Herbie J. Haven, the proprietor of a leather repair shop in Canton.
