Over 600 people participated in this year's reenactment, even though Tropical Storm Irene caused Sunday's festivities and battle to be cancelled (many reenactors travelled from eastern New York State and Vermont to attend). The Reenactment Weekend was part of the St. Lawrence County Historical Association's Commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, which began in 1861.
