Incumbent Pynchon, newcomer Sorensen lead race for Canton village board

Newcomer Anna Sorensen, left, and incumbent Carol Pynchon awaiting election return results at the Stadium in Canton Tuesday night. The pair have apparently won the two trustee seats up for grabs in the Canton village elections, beating out former mayor David Curry in preliminary counting. Absentee ballot results will be officially counted sometime Thursday. The vote total last night was Sorensen 580, Pynchon 608, and Curry 313. See more results from Tuesday night's races here.
