POTSDAM – A virtual Zoom session of Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s (CPH) Fibromyalgia/Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) Support Group is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7.

The topic will be “Why is Breathing so Difficult?” Group facilitator Leslie Russek, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, will discuss why current research and thousands of years of cultural history agree that breathing "correctly" is essential for our health; why so many of us breathe poorly, and how it affects our health; and how we can do it better.

This session will include a presentation on breathing and several guided breathing activities.

All people with fibromyalgia or EDS, friends, and family are welcome to participate.

For information on how to log into the sessions, contact Dr. Leslie Russek, at lrussek@clarkson.edu. Dr. Russek is a professor in Clarkson University’s Physical Therapy Department and specialist in pain management.
