OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg Area Zonta Club is staging the Ogdensburg Witches Night Out Halloween Decorating Contest for anyone living in Ogdensburg, Lisbon, Heuvelton, Hammond or Morristown school districts who decorate the outside of their home or business for Halloween.
There is a $25 entry fee for the fundraising contest.
The event replaces the annual Ogdensburg Area Zonta Club Witches Night Out. However, the club plans to add some “fun, socially distanced elements" to the contest.
Homes and businesses must be located in the Ogdensburg, Heuvelton, Hammond, Morristown or Lisbon school districts (these are the districts that qualify for Zonta scholarships).
Contestants need to enter by Tuesday, Oct. 20. Judging will be held Oct. 21-26.
Winners will be announced on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Judging will only include the portions of yards, homes, and businesses that are visible from the street.
