HEUVELTON — The 2022 International Chorus Champions, Northern Blend Chorus, will perform at Pickens Hall, 83 State St., on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.
From Watertown, NY, Northern Blend Chorus is a chapter of Harmony, Incorporated, an international organization of female a cappella singers specializing in the barbershop harmony style.
Northern Blend, under the direction of Alexandria Central Schools K-12 music educator Katie Taylor, was ranked second heading into the 2022 2022 International Chorus contest.
Their high spirited uptune “I Got Rhythm” and heart-tugging ballad “You’ll Never Walk Alone” propelled them over 23 other choruses from the United States and Canada, and earned them their third international championship since 2010.
