Dairy Festival starts

CANTON — Dairy Festival Days are June 2 and 3. This year’s theme is “Delightfully Dairy.” Big Wheel Races take center stage at the park at 6 p.m. with registration at 5:30 p.m. A block dance with live music will follow the races. The festival in the Park starts at 5 p.m. There will be a bounce house and Future Farmers of America (FFA) chicken barbecue, and train rides.

 Antique bike show

WADDINGTON – An Antique Motorcycle Show will be held June 2-4, starting at 8 a.m. each day, at Whitaker Park, Waddington. It will include a swap meet, vendors, field games and AMCA judging. Judging will be for all motorcycles 35+ years old. Judging will be Sunday, June 4, at 9 a.m.For pre-registration for vendors and judging visit www.antiquemotorcycle.org Admission is $5, but free to Waddington residents, children 12 and under and AMCA members. The event is hosted by the Antique Motorcycle Club of America and the Village of Waddington.

SLC Arts volunteer days

POTSDAM — SLC Arts is staging volunteer days June 2 and 3 starting at 10 a.m. to clean and clear out materials and supplies at Creative Spirit Community Arts Center, 6 Raymond St., to move building renovations along. Projects include removing nails and screws from pieces of wood, moving and organizing the wood and other building materials, and organizing art and office supplies in the basement. Massawepie hike

PIERCEFIELD — The Laurentian Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club will explore the Massawepie Trails on Saturday, June 3. The group will traverse an esker, visit the bog overlook, see some old trees and find the source of the Grasse River. Option to extend the hike to Pine Pond. DEKALB JUNCTION — DeKalb Junction’s community wide sales begin. Fire department is barbecuing chicken and hosting a craft sale throughout the day. Junction Hardware is holding its 10th anniversary celebration.

Pets and Vets golf

CANTON — The 13th annual Pets and Vets Golf Tournament will be held at Partridge Run Golf and Country Club Saturday, June 3 to raise funds for the Potsdam Humane Society’s Pets and Vets Program. Any veteran in active service or retired may, upon approval of adoption application, get a pet from the Potsdam Humane Society free of charge. 9 a.m. shotgun start. Price per team is $320, includes green fees, cart, goody bag and lunch. Prizes include hole in one, longest drive, closest to the pin. Raffle prizes add to the fun. OGDENSBURG — The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce will host the 19th Annual Car-B-Que on Saturday, June 3. This year the free event, a combination barbeque and cruise-in, will be held at the Fort LaPresentation property at 22 Albany Ave. due to the construction on the Greenbelt in the City. There will be trophies, vendors, family activities, Kiwanis Touch-A-Truck event, raffles and much more. Registration will be by the parking lot on the Fort LaPresentation property at 10 a.m. Classic car registrations are only $10. Craft, vendor show

MASSENA — Massena Volunteer Emergency Unit will host a craft and vendor show Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at 341 E. Orvis St. There will be a bounce house, food, raffles and entertainment. There will be fireworks later at the mall at 9 a.m. Cost: $3 adults, $2 seniors 55 and older, $1 children (includes meal of hot dog or hamburger, chips and drink). All proceeds will support the volunteers.

Tribal election

AKWESASNE — The Tribal election will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, with early voting on Wednesday, May 31 and Thursday, June 1 from 6-8 p.m. at the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe Administration Building, 71 Margaret Terrance Memorial Way. MASSENA — A sports cards, coins and collectibles show will be held at the American Legion, 40 E. Orvis St., on Sunday, June 4 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., sponsored by Perry’s SportsCards. Admission is $1 but the first 20 people will be admitted free, courtesy of The Hobby Center. There will be door prizes every hour. Cancer Survivors social

POTSDAM – The Center for Cancer Care at Canton-Potsdam Hospital is hosting a Cancer Survivors' Day event. All cancer patients and survivors are invited to an outdoor ice cream social Sunday, June 4, 1-3 p.m. at Sandstoner Park Pavilion, 43 Pine St. Guests of survivors and patients are also encouraged to attend. Gift baskets donated by St. Lawrence Health departments will be raffled off during the afternoon.
