GRH Solstice Festival

CANTON: Grasse River Heritage Solstice Festival, 6-8 p.m., Heritage Park, Main Street, with D.J. David Sommerstein; raffle, balloon prizes, pie-in-the-face with Todd Moe, kids activities with Nature Up North, and Bruce McClure of earthsky.com answers solstice questions; food available and cash bar; supports Grasse River Heritage and the Park’s maintenance.

Robot spiders

MASSENA: Make robot spiders with build kit for ages 8 and up; free; 3:30-4:30 p.m; Nicandri Nature Center, 19 Robinson Bay Rd.

Free Movie Friday

Summer Kick-off

OGDENSBURG: Ogdensburg Parks & Recreation Department hosting Summer Kick-Off Party 4 p.m. at Library Park; arts and crafts, wide assortment of youth games, bounce houses, hot dogs, popcorn and sno-cones; FunFlicks will offer a free outdoor movie at the park.

Louisville Summer Bash

LOUISVILLE: Annual Louisville Summer Bash, in conjunction with the 123rd NNY Firemen’s Convention; 6 p.m. Lion’s Club ice cream social, duck race and cruz-in at the Louisville Fire Station #1 at the corner of Thompson Ridge Road; proceeds from Summer Bash benefit the Bash committee, Louisville Boy Scouts, Helping Hands, Lions Club, local vendors and the Massena Rod and Gun Club.
