Zombie makeup

NORWOOD: Makeup artist Cindy Davis will demonstrate zombie and special effects makeup techniques for teens at Norwood Public Library, 1 Morton St., noon; attendees will also make fake blood; no charge to attend, but donations accepted to cover the costs of makeup supplies; 315-353-6692, norwoodnylibrary.org.

Vampire blood

POTSDAM: Family science program, Vampire Blood, 11 a.m., Children's Museum, 10 Raymond St., included with day passes and/or membership; www.northcountrychildrensmuseum.org.

Driving class

WADDINGTON: North Country Insurance Professional will sponsor a defensive driver class at St. Mary's Parish Hall, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., cost is $35 per person and will include lunch; contact Robin Miller at 315-323-0282 to sign up and reserve a spot in class; students should bring a NYS drivers license or learners permit with them.

Kids ceramic class

MASSENA: Ceramics class to make fall artwork for kids ages 5 years and older; 1-2 p.m. and 2:30-3:30 p.m. taught by Sara Lynch; registration required at 315-769-9914; Massena Public Library, 41 Glenn St.
