Baking fest, auction

POTSDAM: Potsdam Co-op’s 22nd Annual Holiday Baking Fest & Silent Auction will be held from noon-3 p.m. at the Potsdam Town Hall; fundraiser for the Potsdam Neighborhood Center; Community Room at the Potsdam Town Offices will be transformed into a holiday café, where attendees can taste before bidding; assortment of homemade cakes, cookies, pies, savory treats and more are expected, also coffee, tea and hot cider; silent voting for the best recipe in each category will be held; Co-op invites bakers of all levels to participate in the fundraising event by entering the friendly contest portion of the baking fest with a special recipe, entries will have a chance to win a $25 Good Food gift card from the Co-op.

Christmas program

LISBON: Lisbon Wesleyan Church, 6866 County Route 10, presents it’s annual Christmas program at Lisbon Central School, 10:30 a.m.; public is invited; 315-261-3410.

Nine Lessons, Carols

COLTON: Zion Episcopal Church will present a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, 4 p.m., in the sanctuary of the historic church, 91 Main St.; all welcome to this traditional Christmas season service for the whole community as the Advent season continues; service will begin with a Service of Light and will feature congregational singing of the carols; all carols will be from the 1982 Hymnal of the Episcopal Church; potluck supper after the service and visitors to Zion are invited as guests of the parishioners.

Kids Christmas Party

NORWOOD: Santa, Mrs. Claus and Frosty will make appearances; buffet of punch and goodies, music, balloons, coloring and crafts; Christmas stockings for the first 100 kids; free and public welcome; 1-3 p.m; hosted by Norwood American Legion, 10 Maple St.

Memory Tree lighting

POTSDAM: West Potsdam First Responders will host Annual Memorial Tree Lighting Ceremony for 2019, 6 p.m., intersection of County Route 34 and County Route 35 in West Potsdam; everyone is welcome to attend, refreshments served after the lighting ceremony and the reading of the names; to donate, call the West Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department at 315-265-2577 or send the donation to West Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department Inc., C/O West Potsdam First Responders, 801 CR 34, Potsdam 13676.
