Morristown public meeting

MORRISTOWN: Residents of the Town and Village of Morristown are encouraged to come to a public meeting, 6 p.m., Brier Hill Fire Hall, 2680 State Highway 37 to discuss the community’s comprehensive plan; St. Lawrence County Planning Office is preparing a comprehensive plan for Morristown to help guide the future growth and development of the community; meeting is intended to allow an opportunity for seasonal residents to have input on the plan; planning office staff will summarize work done to date and ask attendees to share what they would like Morristown to look like in 10 years; Supervisor Frank Putman 315-783-4790, Mayor Cheryl Shatraw 315-375-8844, Jason Pfotenhauer of the St. Lawrence County Planning Office 315-379-2292.

Experimental art films

OGDENSBURG: Public is invited to attend a screening of short, experimental films by Rich Fedorchak at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16 at the Frederic Remington Art Museum; final film will be accompanied by live, improvised, experimental music by local avant-garde musicians “Claude and Ola;” after the screening, Fedorchak will present an artist’s talk; free and open to everyone, and will be held in the Museum’s Tiffany Room.
